Maritime transport is the means that has been used the most throughout history for the transport of goods and people. Today it is still an indispensable means of transport that requires professionals who know all its technical aspects.
The Degree in Marine will train you for the development of activities related to the design, maintenance and operation of any industrial facility, both in the marine and land areas. In the last course you will have to do 3 months of compulsory boarding practices or 600 hours in companies on land.
In addition, you can specialize by studying the following itineraries or mentions: Energy and Propulsion, and Industrial Maintenance.
Once you obtain a Marine Degree, you must obtain the title of Merchant Marine Engineer Officer to navigate. And to access the profession of Chief Engineer of the Merchant Navy you will have to complete the Master in Marine Engineering.
To obtain the professional titles of the Merchant Marine you must comply with the medical examination of the Social Institute of the Navy, mandatory to carry out the practices and to provide professional services on board merchant ships.

9. Be able to practice as a Merchant Marine Machine Officer or as a Marine Engineer in any land-based industrial facility, once the requirements of the corresponding Administrations have been exceeded.
10. Be able to work in a group, in a multilingual and multidisciplinary environment, respecting fundamental rights and equality between men and women, as well as guaranteeing universal accessibility.
