The main objective of this course is to train qualified professionals to, autonomously, under guidance or as part of a team, be able to plan, supervise and execute, the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical energy systems, with a focus on the electrical networks used in the transport and distribution of electricity, as well as in domestic energy production systems, considering the automation and control of systems and the observation of quality principles, and specific rules and regulations for the safety and protection of people, equipment and the environment. Technicians will be able to manage projects, organize work and supervise its execution by teams.

Learning outcomes
- Collaborate in the preparation of network projects (AT, MV and BT) and electrical installations, namely in the design of circuits, in the selection of equipment and measurements, interpreting, producing adequate technical documentation and in accordance with the conventions and standards in force.
- Collaborate in the specification of an automation and control system for Electric Power Systems.
- Supervise and plan the implementation activities of electrical energy systems, with responsibilities in managing the work of a team.
- Carry out maneuvers and test operations, commissioning, and maintenance of an electrical energy system, including domestic production systems and associated networks and electrical installations.
- Apply the safety and protection regulations for people, equipment and the environment in all activities.
- Develop technical-commercial activities in the areas of Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installations and Automation and Control of electrical systems.
Prerequisites
- Holders of a secondary education course, or legally equivalent qualification;
- Holders of a technological specialization or professional higher technician diploma
- Holders of a higher education degree, who wish to re-qualify their professional qualifications.
- Those aged over 23 who have passed the tests designed to assess their ability to attend Higher Education can also apply.
