The PhD program on Sustainable Energy Systems aims, through an interdisciplinary approach, the training of leaders and decision makers regarding sustainaibility aspects of energy systems, providing them with knowledge that ranges from technology to economics. Emphasis in energy systems design, research, leadership and entrepreneurship will provide students with essential tools to be in the front line of sustainable energy systems applications.

This PhD program addresses both policy and technology, which are needed for the design and implementation of alternative strategies in the energy area. Students will be familiarized with practical energy strategies through research based on real situations, taking advantage of partnerships with companies and other institutions.
