Thermal and visual comfort, as well as indoor air quality, are requirements in most buildings today, both in commercial and service spaces, as well as in many industrial units. In many of these buildings there are still needs to heat swimming pools and produce hot water, both for bathing and for other uses. These requirements are satisfied with Lighting, Heating, Cooling, Ventilation (Air Conditioning), Pumping, Water Heating equipment, etc., which naturally consume electricity, fossil fuels and renewable energies (solar, biomass, geothermal), implying action to guarantee energy and environmental sustainability. The Higher Professional Technician course in Air Conditioning and Energy prepares technicians who supervise, install, operate and maintain the equipment that guarantees these functions.
Grant opportunities
In case of demonstrable economic need, the student of any training (technological specialization course, degree or master's degree) may request support from the IPS Social Action Services.
Every year, the SAS/IPS award non-refundable scholarships, which aim to help finance the expenses inherent in attending higher education for needy students (tuition, accommodation, food, transport or school supplies).
Learning outcomes
Manage, implement and evaluate, supervise and coordinate the activities of planning, verification, management of energy use, installation and maintenance related to buildings and technical systems (thermal envelope, air conditioning, ventilation, domestic hot water, lighting, elevation systems), taking into account the comfort of users, energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies whenever possible.
