ABOUT THE ACADEMIC PROGRAM

The Nautical Studies study will appeal to all those who feel drawn to the sea and to distant ports. Theoretical sessions are held in specialised classrooms and work stations, while practical work of the highest quality is facilitated by navigational simulators, life-boats, fire-fighting training area, ship's radio-station and the training and research ship "Naše More". The Nautical Studies study qualifies the students for the competent and professional handling of a vessel, crew, passengers and cargo, as well as for various managerial professions ashore.The training measures up to the highest world standards under the supervision of the International Maritime Organisation, and the qualifications obtained are valid worldwide. The curriculum has been designed to comply with both the Bologna Declaration and the Maritime Code.

The undergraduate Nautical Studies study lasts three yearsi.e six semesters (180 ECTS credits)
