ABOUT THE ACADEMIC PROGRAM

For the modernisation of the Croatian aquaculture industry young educated professionals are needed and are therefore the target of the undergraduate programme in Aquaculture.This is the only course of its kind in Croatia and the syllabus is in line with the Bologna Declaration.Theoretical and practical classes offered during the course provide the comprehensive knowledge required for employment directly related to production, such as: cultivation, feeding, fishing, transportation of aquatic organisms, marketing and finances, and also promote the expertise needed in the management and organisation of commercial aquaculture enterprises.The undergraduate study in Aquaculture keeps up with the latest global trends in the farming of fish, shellfish, crustaceans and other aquatic organisms, and involves co-operation with numerous experts from various European countries.

DURATION

The undergraduate study in Aquaculture lasts three years, i.e. six semesters (180 ECTS credits).

ACADEMIC DEGREE OBTAINED

Upon completion of the undergraduate study the student is awarded the degree Bachelor of Aquaculture.
