The graduate of Marine Biology from the University of Antofagasta, is a professional prepared with a rigorous scientific training whose objective is to contribute in the field of basic and applied research, in teaching and the sustainable development of the industry.
His professional training is consolidated through the mentions of Environmental Management and Aquaculture Production that enable him to support and promote the sustainable development of the industry whose actions are linked to the hydrobiological resources that occupy the coastal desert environment.
His skills allow him to carry out comprehensive studies of aquatic biotic resources in order to collaborate, and participate in lines of research in the field of knowledge of biological processes, aimed at their conservation and maintenance of biodiversity.
He is trained for the transmission of knowledge through teaching, collaborating in the training of human resources at a professional and technical level.
He may work in universities, research institutes and other institutions that require research and / or teaching in the field of marine biology, as well as in public administration and in the private productive sector to contribute to environmental management and / or in the production of aquaculture resources.
Likewise, to undertake in the generation of their own consulting companies in areas such as: coastal planning, environmental impact, or related to the productive sector of marine resources (fishing and aquaculture).
