Course contents:
The course gives an introduction to main topics within Norwegian aquaculture species and production- including fish production systems in fresh and seawater, water quality, health prophylaxis, reproduction, fish welfare, feed and feeding, product quality.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge in biology
Learning outcomes
The students will through practical examples see the benefit of the theoretical knowledge. The final aim is to create a situation allowing the students an insight into the consequences of implementing biological knowledge in a production situation.
