The Antwerp Maritime Academy offers a training programme in commercial yachting 200 GT. This training is aimed at the crew of pleasure craft used for commercial activities, with a gross tonnage lower than 200 or a length from 2,5 to 24 meters. The crafts are allowed up to 30 nautical miles of coast.
The training programme is in compliance with the Belgian regulations: Koninklijk besluit of 4/9/2014. ((KB van 04.09.2014, bijlage I, hoofdstuk VII, punt VII/14 tot en met VII/15)
The training programme is based on STCW requirements and is approved by the Belgian Federal Administration for Mobility and Transport.
The programme consists of various modules, allowing for tailor-made training.

Learning outcomes
At the end of the training session you will receive a certificate, proving that you have completed all modules successfully.

Prerequisites
To start the Commercial Yachting 200 GT course the candidate needs to have attained a yacht man certificate.
If the candidate does not possess a yacht man certificate or equivalent, he/she has to present a curriculum and/or sailing time certificates to the evaluation commission. This commission will decide if the acquired knowledge is sufficient.
Candidates possessing certificates of training modules followed at other training centres, should provide a copy of these certificates to the evaluation commission. This commission will decide for which training modules the candidate can be granted exemption.
