Eligibility: A pass in Plus-two (12th Standard) or its equivalent, with minimum 60% aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry group and at least 50% marks in English.

Passport is mandatory.

Mode of Selection: Written/Personal/Medical Examination

Age: Below 25 years at the time of commencement of the Programme

Medical Standard: Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight up to 6/12 in both eyes or 6/9 in better eye, 6/18 in other eye and with no colour blindness
 

Lateral Entry

Lateral Entry: Candidates can join 2nd year of 4-Year Marine Engineering Degree Course who have passed 3 years Diploma Course, in addition to the three years regular Diploma Course in Mechanical/ Electrical /Electrical & Electronics Engineering, in following categories, from the colleges approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education with minimum 60% of aggregate marks in the last year of Diploma Course.

Mechanical Engineering Stream : Three years Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Machine Tools and Maintenance /Plant Engineering, Production Technology, Production Engineering, Advanced Diploma in Tool & Die Making

Electrical Engineering Stream : Three years Diploma in Electrical Power System

Electrical and Electronics Engineering Stream : Three years Diploma in Digital Electronics, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Electronics Engineering, Electronics Production & Maintenance, Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control

Course duration: 3yrs (residential course)

Age Limit: Below 24 years at the time of commencement of the course.
