The professionals on maritime affairs who graduate this department may be able to work as a qualified operation manager of offshore plants. Also the graduates may be able to extend their career to a number of kinds of offshore plant construction, management and maritime industries.

The engineering specialized course will lead the graduates to ship engineers, CEOs and manpower of shipping companies, specialized engineers of shipbuilding and its equipments companies, national public service personnels and professional agents in the field of maritime industry, naval officer, etc. The navigation specialized course will lead the students to advanced officers and captains of high-tech ship, pilots, port captains, national public service personnels, professional agents in the field of maritime industry, shipping and shipbuilding companies, shipping brokers, naval officers, etc.

Department of Offshore Plant Management provides both the maritime knowledge that an engineer or officer require and the advanced knowledge of offshore plant. Its purpose of teaching is to cultivate advanced mariners and people in the field of professional management in offshore plants. The system of this department's curriculum is complete the basic maritime subjects commonly, and then mainly educates about sailing and management of the offshore plant and the special maritime vessels. Also there are two majors that students can select as a expertise, an engineering and navigation course.

Over 95% of offshore plants for marine energy resources and developments are presently constructed in Korea. Trained professionals in this offshore area, can lead the offshore industry in the future, therefore, the advanced education of offshore technology is significantly important to lead the world market in this field.
