This module aims to address new and different perspectives on water management, which has been changing rapidly in recent years and will continue to change in the near future. The water at the end of a treatment process can be reused for purposes other than simply returning it to the water environment. Water transports compounds that can be separated and even economically valued. It becomes necessary to understand the water-energy nexus and how, from the univocal relationship of energy consumption associated with the use of water, we are moving towards a biunivocal relationship that also incorporates energy production.
