Training of officers of sea and river vessels is carried out in the specialty "River and sea transport". Within the framework of this specialty training is provided in the educational programs "Navigation", "Operation of ship power plants", "Operation of ship electrical equipment and automation", the successful implementation of which will allow future fleet specialists to acquire the necessary competencies of pilots, ship mechanics and electricians.
Graduates have the opportunity to work on all types of sea and river vessels. The knowledge and skills acquired during the training will help them to manage any modern ship vehicles, systems and complexes around the world. Graduates have wide opportunities in employment and further professional growth in domestic and foreign shipping companies.
Training is carried out using modern forms and methods of teaching.
During their studies, students undergo training and production swimming practices on ships of the merchant and passenger fleets, get the opportunity to obtain working diplomas of watch officers.
The University has a practical base on which to consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired during training, and practical skills.
