The graduate program in Naval Architecture focuses on the design and construction of high performance marine craft and it has been initiated due to the high demand from our alumni and naval architects currently employed the industry. The graduates of the program are able to utilize advanced engineering techniques and tools for the design and construction of conventional and high performance marine craft and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world industrial problems.
In order for the currently employed prospective students to be able to benefit from the program, the courses are planned for after-work hours.
With the completion of the Master’s program, the required fundamental knowledge for the design and analysis of high performance craft with the aid of advanced engineering methods would be obtained. Cooperation with the industry is preferred for the thesis work; aiming at improving processes and/or products, developing new and effective design techniques and tools, obtaining solutions for industrial purposes and etc.
In the PhD program, research and development required for the design and construction of high performance craft with particular emphasis on areas such as hydromechanics, aeromechanics, structural analysis, mechanics of new materials, production techniques, etc... is conducted with industrial cooperation.
