The objective of the curriculum
Provide knowledge in navigation and ships handling necessary for successful professional performance. Provide theoretical and practical training of navigators who would acquire the competencies necessary to perform professional tasks and duties on ships, and further professional and personal growth.
The curriculum ensures the achieving of competencies and learning outcomes in accordance with: - Regulations II/1 of Manila amendments to the annex to the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certifications and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), 1978, as amended; - sections A-II/1, B-II/1 of the STCW Code; - the practical training requirements laid down in regulation II/1 of the STCW 1978, as amended.
