This is a two and a half year (2.5) program that deals with the study of ship operations, navigation, cargo handling, stowage, and controlling the safe operation of the ship and the persons onboard at the support level.
The MMFI Academic Department operates on the principles of outcomes-based education (OBE) which focuses on learning rather than teaching. The department puts premium on the demonstration of the necessary competencies, skills, attitudes, and values that are vital in the successful performance of duties and responsibilities of the learners in their chosen profession.
The institution offers a bundled technical-vocation program. The curriculum comprises of highly contextualized and specialized courses which are spread across the year level for the development of technical competence of the learners.
