Water plays a central role for society and ecosystems.

Models and information systems are important tools for water management. This course focuses on different types of models and these are used to describe the flow of water and substances. Time-series analysis is used for examining hydrological data; for analyzing spatially distributed data geographic information systems (GIS) and geostatistical methods are used.

The course is part of Master's Programme in Hydrology, Hydrogeology and Water Resources but can also be read as a separate course.
