PhD (ISCED 2011 level 8)

Duración 8 semesters
Costo Five thousand euros

The Doctoral Program in Sciences with a mention in Management of Renewable Aquatic Resources (MaReA) is offered by the Faculty of Natural and Oceanographic Sciences of the University of Concepción, and is aimed at professionals in areas such as administration and management of renewable aquatic resources, quantitative evaluation of fisheries stocks, biotechnology (applied to aquatic organisms), marine biology, aquaculture engineering, fisheries engineering, fisheries biology, economics of renewable natural resources, veterinary medicine, bioengineering or other related.

The objective of the MaReA Doctorate is to train researchers of excellence with high scientific productivity and independence with the ability to create their own lines of work, establish and maintain work groups to promote, in a multidisciplinary way, the sustainable exploitation of renewable aquatic resources. The MaReA PhD modality is face-to-face, biannual and daytime, consisting of 4 fundamental subjects, 3 specialization subjects, 1 scientific communication seminar and 1 research seminar; The latter allows to complete the thesis project, which must be presented and defended successfully at the end of the third semester.
