General information

The International Workshop on Pufferfish will run from 13-14 October this year, taking place in Bodrum, Turkey. The recent invasion of pufferfish into Mediterranean waters has caused significant damage to the marine ecosystem. In addition, a lack of basic knowledge of monitoring methodologies, specific life characteristics of pufferfish species and risk assessments is also proving problematic.

Due to this damaging combination of issues, this conference will attempt to amass scientists, fishermen, policy makers and other stakeholders to utilize effect of pufferfish species in the Mediterranean Sea. In order to best decide how to tackle this growing problem, the conference will ambitiously incorporate a wide array of themes and topics, including:
