The Department of Fisheries, affiliated to the Institute of Science and Technology, established on 17.03.2006, provides postgraduate education in the field of Fisheries.

Fisheries Ph.D. program is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to serve in the field based on graduate qualifications, developing current and advanced knowledge at the level of expertise with original thought and/or research, reaching original definitions that will bring innovation in the field, assimilation of ethical values, aware of the realities of the world. It aims to understand the importance of lifelong learning and develop skills. To gain the ability to comprehend the features of production technologies is the program that brings innovations to fields such as plankton, aquatic plants, vertebrate and invertebrate aquatic life production, diseases and treatment methods, hunting, processing, and distribution in sea and inland waters. The program aims to improve oneself by researching, interpreting, and following developments, and to develop the skills of publishing results and ideas in scientific platforms orally or in writing.
