The Department of Fisheries, affiliated to the Institute of Science and Technology, established on 17.03.2006, provides postgraduate education in the field of Fisheries.
The Fisheries Master's program is a fundamental field that studies non-living things in the aquatic environment and plant and animal creatures living in the aquatic environment. In this basic area, besides aquaculture and basic sciences, studies are carried out on the development of methods for hunting aquatic organisms with economic importance, the application of current techniques, the development of selective fishing gear for sustainable fisheries, and fisheries management. In addition, researches are carried out on the processing of products obtained through aquaculture and aquaculture, and research programs are carried out to find solutions to problems. In this context, the ability to develop and deepen knowledge in the field of Fisheries at the level of expertise based on undergraduate level qualifications and to comprehend the interdisciplinary interaction in the field of specialization is gained.
