Hydrological processes. Theories related to modelling processes and computational methods. Measurements, spatial and temporal variability of hydrological processes. Snow and ice. Modelling concepts, model development and implementation. Hydrological prognosis, floods and urban hydrology.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge:

  • The candidate should have knowledge on selected hydrological topics on an international level. The candidate should be able to apply the knowledge to advance methods and theories within hydrology.

Skills:

  • The candidate should be able to utilize knowledge on processes in solving advanced problems within hydrology. The candidate should also be able to do advanced research and implement solutions and disseminate results on an international level.

General competence:

  • The candidate should be able to utilize knowledge from the course in solving hydrological problems related to water resources.
  • The candidate should also be able to present results in national and international venues.
