Maritime Resource Management

General information

Scope:

The Maritime Resource Management course has been designed to meet the requirements of the STCW Convention 1978, as amended, Table A-II/2 and A-III/2. Taking the IMO Model Course 1.22 as a guideline.

Course content:

  • Situational Awareness;
  • Attitudes;
  • Communications and briefings;
  • challenge and response;
  • Authority and Assertiveness;
  • Management Styles.
Objective:

Those who succesfully complete this course achieve the required knowledge of resource management during everyday operations including the importance of teamwork and the willingness to change behavior as to increase safety, efficiency and satisfaction.
