Zavora Marine Lab offers unique marine science internships in one of the most beautiful, wild areas in Southern Mozambique. The internship consists of diverse research projects that allows marine science students to explore various methods in the research field. Our projects include nudibranch diversity and distribution, manta ray photo-identification, humpback whale surveys (population structure and behaviour) and artificial reef colonization. Each project teaches students an array of different research skills and contributes to crucial research in Mozambique. By obtaining concrete data through these projects, the aim of the Zavora Marine Lab is to conserve and protect this pristine area of Mozambique.
