Scope:
The Maintenance and Damage Inspection course has been designed to meet the requirements of the STCW Convention 1978, as amended, Table A-II/2.
Course content:
- Yield strenght of vital ship constructions;
- Interpretation of shear stresses and bending moments;
- Protection of ship's hull against corrosion;
- Fatigue and inadequate handling of goods.
Objective:
Those who succesfully complete this course should achieve the required standard of competence and knowledge regarding the inspection of damage.
