Advanced Training for Liquified Gas Tanker Operations

General information

Scope:

The Advanced Training for Liquified Gas Tanker Operations course has been designed to meet the requirements of the STCW Convention 1978, as amended, Table A-V/1-2-2. Taking the IMO Model Course 1.05 as a guideline.

Course content:

  • Ability to perform and monitor all cargo operations;
  • Familiarity with physical and chemical properties of liquefied gas cargoes;
  • Take precautions to prevent hazards;
  • Apply occupational health and safety precautions;
  • Respond to emergencies;
  • Take precautions to prevent pollution of the environment;
  • Monitor and control compliance with legislative requirements.

Objective:

Those who succesfully complete this course will be able to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities regarding liquified gas tanker operations and the prevention of potential hazards.
