Advanced Training for Chemical Tanker Operations

Scope:

The Advanced Training for Chemical Tanker Operations course has been designed to meet the requirements of the STCW Convention 1978, as amended, Table A-V/1-1-3.

Course content:

  • Chemistry and physics of noxious liquid substances;
  • Hazards;
  • Rules and Regulations;
  • Ship design, cargo containment and cargo-handling systems;
  • Safety and pollution prevention;
  • Cargo handling and ballast operations;
  • Tank-cleaning operations.

Objective:

Those who succesfully complete this course will be able to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities regarding chemical tanker operations and the prevention of potential hazards.
